Text Box: Testimonies Text Box: Testimony of God’s Powerful Healing: February 2008  I have had problems with heartburn most of my adult life. The twenty plus years of alcohol and drug abuse did not help my problem at all. I came to the Lord and was born again February 1 1998, when a man that I worked with invited me to a revival service at his church Saturday night January 1 1998, and I was baptized in the name of Jesus. The next morning I received the Gift of the Holy Ghost and spoke in “other tongues” as the Spirit of God filled me. This was by far the greatest and most joyful experience of my life! I now have the power inside of me to overcome life’s trials and tribulations. In the ten years of living for God, He has healed me of many aches and pains. About 8 years ago I was diagnosed with acid reflux and a Hiatal Hernia. In order to repair the hernia, the doctor would have to cut my chest wide open with a low percentage of success – the doctors did not recommend the surgery. For about the last year, the Acid Reflux and the Hiatal Hernia had gotten much worse. I would wake up at night having only gotten one or two hours of sleep and it felt like someone had their fist in my chest. Nothing the doctors recommended for treatment worked very well.  I had just moved about forty five miles from where I was attending church and was looking for another place of worship. I had been promising a good friend that I would visit her new church, Apostolic Life Tabernacle. On the Sunday that I did visit, I had already attended two other churches that morning.  In the first two, there was no power of God in them. However, Sunday night’s service at Apostolic Life Tabernacle was one of the most powerful experiences of God’s Spirit moving on a congregation of people. I left that night intoxicated on the Holy Ghost! My whole body was numb and my spirit full of joy unspeakable. That night I slept like a baby all night. It was two days before I had realized that God had healed my Hiatal Hernia.  I thank God for his healing power.
